family business morals

Matt Fanke made the decision to start Fanke Design Services more than 25 years after his mother and father opened their business ( Kenosha Tool & Engineering ). It was then, in 1990, that his education in Mechanical Design started. Matt literally grew up in and around the machine shop, and he owes much of his entrepreneurial spirit to Alan and Kathleen Fanke. Needless to say, Fanke Design Services pays close attention to the same qualities that helped his parent's business succeed: Value and Fairness to employees as well as customers.

And last but not least, Randy won't have to wait long before he can meet with you to discuss your design needs, as he has a never ending supply of creative talent and is a born salesman! We hope that someday Randy will willingly choose to honor and reflect the same practices and beliefs that the earlier generations of Fanke men have, through whatever he chooses to do.

Our favorite aspect of being in this line of work is being able to follow the projects we tackle from the initial sketches all the way through the end processes. Matt inherited his skills and love of prototyping and general artistry of steel and aluminum from his father, Alan. Alan received his gifts of craftsmanship and materials mastery from his father and his grandfather.
